Good place to start and understanding of past mistakes

20yrs and 4 companies russell is by far the worst

I’ve been in landscaping for 20yrs. I’ve worked at 4 different companies over that time. Russell being the latest. Russell has the highest turnover I’ve seen by far mostly due to the fact they care so little for there employees. They just use people up and replace them. Upper management is verbally abusive and dismissive. Telling us how people are lined up to work there and we can all be replaced tomorrow. Most of the lower management are good people and will tell you that the Russell is a terrible company to work for. Now this may seem trivial but it’s just an example of how things are done. They want you there between 600 and 615am to check equipment and load up the trucks but you dont start getting paid till 630 regardless of when you clock in. Which I dont even think is legal. I’ve haven’t been here long and now that I’ve seen what kind of company this is I wont be here much longer.

What i have learned from working with russell lanscape group?

I have learned a lot working for Russell, some managers and crew leaders have taught me a lot about the responsibility of lawn maintenance. It is a little bit hard at first because of the hot blazing sun, but i was learning, listening, and worked very hard.

Customer Dissatisfaction

Refused to abide by customers contracts. Purposely and willfully undercut customer services . They repeatedly refused to acknowledge or heed advance by trained landscape professionals including falsely reporting requests made by outside consultants. Inexperienced upper management who repeatedly violated contracts with customers in order to inflate profits.

Productive and family welcoming

Opportunity for work advancement, great management and great compensation. Year round work and great equipment to work with. Very understanding and hands on staff

High paced

Driver/Installs (Former Employee) – Norcross, GA – October 26, 2018

All areas of landscaping but most specialized in Residential landscaping. More of regular maintenance and minor installation. Which could be sod ,or various plants and shrubs.

Discrimates against Americans

This is a workplace for illegal immigrants. They do not like Americans and they will run US off. They coddle the illegals. The rules don’t apply to them. They don’t deserve a rating but you made me put stars up

This was my favorite job

I enjoyed the working culture and people and clients. Hours were hard but I enjoyed this position. Learned a lot. And would work at Russell again. The company has gone through a lot of changes but I would still work there again

Long day of hard work

Long hard days of work with not equal pay. Long days in the heat can be stressful. Managers and other employees are great as well. Learned a lot of skills during my time at Russell.

Fun environment, very hands-on owners. Employees rewarded frequently with annual events, and monthly bonuses. The management team is very supportive and will listen to any ideas brought to the table.

Do yourself a favor…. move on.

Constant negativity resulting from numerous changes and turnover in employees. Trust is also an issue. Benefits are negligible considering size of company.
